Wellness is a Journey
Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician who is considered the Father of Medicine, said, "Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food." Yet, according to findings from numerous studies, disease can be linked to poor gut health and eating habits. This isn’t a result of people not caring about their health; rather, I believe that it has more to do with the fact that nurturing the whole self can seem like an impossible task in this day and age. Many people don't understand how to create and implement lasting healthy habits, or they feel that they’ve tried every diet, every fitness program, every traditional avenue towards health without finding relief or success. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated both mental and physical health struggles for millions of people, which can make wellness seem more out of reach than ever. They’re exhausted, and they’re not sure how to take the first step in their healing journey. If you’re finding yourself nodding as you’re reading this, I promise, you’re not alone.
My hope is that I can work with you to chart a path to wellness that nurtures your mind, body, and spirit.
For over two decades, I’ve had the pleasure of mentoring my health coaching clients through bio-individualized wellness programs. My focus on nutrition, genetics, physical activity, food preparation, managing allergies and sensitivities, and holistic self-care is based on my own uphill battle with health and nutrition. For many years I struggled with chronic, debilitating allergy symptoms. At their worst, I was taking five prescription medications every day just to be able to function. I spent years studying to create my own research-based wellness solutions, and now, my passion is sharing what I’ve learned to change lives. Using the science, patience, compassion, and humor that I’ve honed as a teacher, I find joy in guiding clients out of chronic health conditions and into glowing vitality.
